Join us to hear from Alisha Tolani, MD, UCSF Center for Reproductive Health (CRH), and Sue Forstat, UCSF Health Care Facilitator Program, who will provide guidance on family building and fertility services, as well as navigating your UC benefits and insurance coverage.

Sue Forstat is the Director of the Healthcare Facilitator Program at UCSF, where she advocates for employees and helps them navigate challenges with accessing healthcare and benefits. Having worked at UCSF since 1990 and bringing a background in nursing, she is deeply committed to ensuring that everyone can access the care and resources they need without unnecessary barriers. Sue believes there are always opportunities to make a meaningful difference by meeting people where they are and addressing inequities in healthcare access. In 2022, she received the UCSF Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional University Service in recognition of her leadership in advancing equitable COVID-19 vaccination efforts and addressing disparities across the UCSF community.

Dr. Alisha Tolani is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist who provides compassionate, holistic fertility care, with particular interests in male factor infertility, hormonal conditions such as PCOS, and caring for patients with complex medical conditions. Her research focuses on developing technologies to improve treatment of male infertility and expand access to fertility care. Dr. Tolani is deeply committed to advocacy and health equity, serving on the UCSF Obstetrics & Gynecology Advocacy Committee and as a national PRIMED Advocacy Fellow with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN training at Stanford University, her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UCSF, and previously worked in maternal health globally as a Fulbright Scholar in Honduras.
